Marketing and Business Development

The full definition of marketing is bringing a product or service into the market place. There are different business models to enable a non-profit making activity such as volunteering, to be supported by income generating enterprises. Marketing such a project requires a good understanding of what motivates your audience, your stake-holders, your donors and the policy makers in your area.

I have a background in organic food and farming enterprises, marketing consultancy and have recently completed a two year stint successfully providing business development and marketing management to a volunteer-led, heritage railway, tourist attraction. With over 25 years practical experience of identifying ways to generate income from sectors that are not necessarily profit driven I have a good understanding of the challenges you may be facing. What’s more, I have a proven track record of being able to implement new ideas and generate sales.

Added to that my extensive experience as a trainer and facilitator and you can see the opportunities for me to bring a team on board with new directions and new ideas.
